This vault describes Datler, one concept to a note: what each part is, how it works, and why it is built that way. The notes below are the reference, grouped by area. Plans, decisions and the engineering log sit beside them in the repository and are not part of the reference.
Start with Vision for what Datler is for, the Glossary for its words, and Architecture Overview for how it is put together.

The vault
The vault is obsidian/Datler/, driven by vault.config.json at the repository root, which declares each kind of note and the fields it needs. A note’s kind decides whether it is reference or working material (Vault Curation). pnpm run vault:refresh joins hard-wrapped lines, regenerates the generated views in _generated/ (an overview of every note, and each area’s notes in one file) and validates the vault.
